The Open University Students Association is run by
the students for the students of the Open University (OU). They represent
the interests of all OU students and begin intiatives with the Open
University which will benefit the students. Within the university
OUSA has student representation on all decision making and consultative
boards and committees.
OUSA is structured around a network of local branches
across the UK and beyond. Local branches of OUSA organise regular
meetings, academic events, social events and foster self-help groups.
Because OU students study remotely this structure is important and
makes OUSA available to all students enabling them to meet other students.
The West Midlands region (or Region 04 as it
is officially known) roughly covers the area shown in the graphic
above. Please browse our pages even if you are not a current OU student.
Most of the information within these pages are for ALL OU students
(maybe tutors and graduates as well). Only the contact details are
specific to the West Midlands.
All OU students are automatically members of
OUSA.
