To be accessible and to provide information, options, assistance
and support to students, within their regions, where required, to enable
them to overcome problems affecting their ability to study with the Open
University.

Key tasks in order to fulfil the main purpose of the job
to establish and maintain links with Regional Offices and liase and work
with regional office on student enquiries if appropriate.

To provide appropriate and relevant information to students
on who to contact or what references they may need to make in relation to
their query/problem.

To promote the area of Student Support and the role of the
Student Support Link on a regional basis.

To provide information on and assist with fundraising for
The Open University Students Education Trust (OUSET)

To provide regular reports on Student Support issues within
Regions to the Vice President Student Support.
To encourage support and promote the needs of ALL students within
the University with specific reference to their own region.
